This program gives you a unique opportunity to improve your English and immerse yourself in South African culture by supporting local communities.

English Level : A minimum English level of B1 is required for a volunteer placement.

Dates : Arrivals on the first and third Sunday of every month. No arrivals in December. School holidays to be considered for Education and Sports placements

Our shool in Cape Town

The school is located close to the city centre, Table Mountain and several beaches. There are 14 spacious classrooms, a student lounge with big screen TV and free wireless internet throughout the school, table football, pool table, cafeteria, swimming pool and garden with a barbecue - lots of opportunities to make friends and speak English after class!

What do we offer?

Volunteers will either stay in a Host Home, which sleeps 2 - 4 volunteers per room, or in a Volunteer House, which sleeps 4 - 8 volunteers in a dormitory room.


  • Orientation day: No meals included
  • Host Home: Breakfast, lunch and dinner included
  • Volunteer House: Breakfast and dinner served Monday to Friday.


Transfers from the airport or Cape Town to the Volunteer House on the arrival day are included. Departure transfers to the airport and transport to and from volunteer projects are not
included. Departure transfers can be booked through school.

Internet access

Access to e-mail, internet and mail holding facility are available at the Volunteer Office. 

Tours and activities

Bookings for tours and activities included. Evening activities not included.

Students aged 18 and over are eligible.


You may cancel only if you send written notice of cancellation, which we must receive not less than 14 days before the Start Date. If you cancel not less than 14 days before the Start Date, any fees you have paid will be refunded except for registration fees and one week's tuition and (where applicable) accommodation fees. If you cancel the less than 14 days before the Start Date, any refunds will be entirely at the school's discretion. A full refund of all fees paid (less delivery charges) will be made in the event of visa refusal only if you send written notice and documentary evidence of such refusal. If a Course is terminated after the Start Date, or if you are not present on the Start Date at the premises where the Course is to be held, without having previously cancelled your Course, no refunds will be given on tuition or accommodation.
