Volunteer with children in Thailand

As work in Asia goes, it's hard to beat the opportunity to join a volunteer program teaching English to underprivileged children. As a volunteer teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach in primary schools & secondary schools, as well as teaching children with special needs. The level of English understanding and speaking will need to be at least intermediate to advanced if you are keen to join our volunteering program as a teacher in Asia.

By joining our volunteer program as a teacher, you can give local children the opportunity to learn English. It is incredibly important for these children to learn English, as it will bring them so many more opportunities later in life. Tourism is Asia's premier industry, and by learning and discovering English, these children have their first step on a real ladder to success- and a better quality of life than the generations before.

Project is also available with no English level required : childcare volunteering in an daycare centre. The project involves learning through playing.

NOTE : the project duration is limited to 8 weeks to ensure volunteers get the best volunteer experience in both sites. For extended stays, please contact us to discuss a custom itinerary.

"I just got home from the most amazing 2 weeks of my life! As I lay here not being able to sleep from the jet lag I just had to send you guys an email to thank you all for everything. The learn by play program you guys have set up is just wonderful on so many levels. I not only felt like a volunteer but a member of the community. The people of Thailand are some of the most happy and genuine people I have ever met in my life. I have made friends for life, my advice to anyone....JUST DO IT"

We work with an organisation that supports community-based projects in Asia to maximise improvements to human and environmental issues. The 45 organisation staff has guided almost 3,000 volunteers since its creation in 2002. The aims of its volunteering program are to change the needs of the communities, provide education and knowledge to the local communities and provide volunteer and financial help in tandem to ensure demonstrable, lasting change. Our local Foundation is dedicated to improving health, safety and hygiene at schools throughout Asia, as well as making it possible for people like you to make a difference. From building projects like demolishing unhygienic toilets and rebuilding clean facilities, brightly coloured school buildings and fun, ongoing community projects such as allotments and farms, the work in Asia that it is able to do is very varied. It can also place volunteers who are keen on teaching English to children or working in an elephant camp in Thailand. Development and sense of community are two areas that it focuses on in its projects, and this is definitely reflected in the success that it has achieved throughout Asia.
