Volunteers have the opportunity to work with elephants and protect them in their natural habitat
Ever wanted to work for Asia's largest land mammal? Volunteers have the opportunity to work with these majestic creatures and protect them in their natural habitat, as part of an elephant conservation volunteering program. The Government of Thailand has been doing more to protect these animals, but the reality is that without NGOs, these elephants would be used on the streets of busy cities to beg for money.
Our elephant conservation project in Thailand has only one goal : happy and protected elephants. Travellers will be expected to stay amongst the elephants in rural communities on their volunteering program. Indeed, joining such a volunteer program is a great way to work in Asia will also experiencing the real Thailand.
NOTE : the project duration is limited to 8 weeks to ensure volunteers get the best experience at the elephant village. For extended stays, please contact us to discuss a custom itinerary.
"Volunteering in Thailand was an incredible experience! I worked on the elephant project for two weeks and had the time of my life. The staff were fantastic and went beyond their job requirements to ensure our stay was safe, including organizing our weekend activities. I recommend volunteering in Thailand, and further encourage people to work on the elephant project as it is an incredible experience, being up and close with elephants every day."

We work with an organisation that supports community-based projects in Asia to maximise improvements to human and environmental issues. The 45 organisation staff has guided almost 3,000 volunteers since its creation in 2002. The aims of its volunteering programme are to change the needs of the communities, provide education and knowledge to the local communities and provide volunteer and financial help in tandem to ensure demonstrable, lasting change. Our local Foundation is dedicated to improving health, safety and hygiene at schools throughout Asia, as well as making it possible for people like you to make a difference. From building projects like demolishing unhygenic toilets and rebuilding clean facilites, brightly coloured school buildings and fun, ongoing community projects such as allotments and farms, the work in Asia that it is able to do is very varied. It can also place volunteers who are keen on teaching english to children or working in an elephant camp in Thailand. Development and sense of community are two areas that it focuses on in its projects, and this is definitely reflected in the success that it has acheived throughout Asia.
