- PADI Open Water to Divemaster Certification

- Training Location: Earn your certification in the temperate crystal blue waters of Byron Bay, Australia. 

Australia is surrounded by sea and “Must do” dive sites.  All very accessible dive locations situated where you will be working and travelling while your visiting Australia, especially the East and West Coasts. We feature Australia´s best day trips to extended liveaboard dive trips, Ship Wrecks, and all levels of dive education courses and dive internships. All our dive and career programs are located in brilliant coastal parts of Australia.

Join the Australia Divemaster Academy and earn your PADI Divemaster Certification and start to turn your passion into a professional dive career. 


Divemaster skills allow you to experience a wide range of  recreational dive activities while giving you the qualification to supervise other keen divers. There’s nothing like sharing your dive experience’s plus the joy of seeing others have as much fun diving as you do.  


Australia has a number of unique and diverse dive locations offering excellent employment opportunities.  Your new professional qualifications are Internationally recognized, making a Divemaster qualification program is the perfect choice for employment while travelling aboard or to further your career in this exciting dive industry. Maybe  you will then take the next step and become a Professional Dive Instructor.

Program Outline

This PADI-accredited Divemaster program takes participants from beginner to expert in five steps:

- Open Water Diver.

- Advanced Diver.

- Rescue Diver.

- First Aid & O2 Provider.

- DiveMaster.

You will reach the leadership level of Divemaster through structured pool, open water, and classroom instruction. While the primary goal of the program is to prepare you for a career with the diving community, you will also develop self-confidence, public speaking, and social skills essential to any career you may ultimately choose.

Your accommodation

You will be staying above the Byron Bay Dive Centres in its self-contained, on site lodge. All linen, kitchen ware and laundry facilities are provided. You'll be able to watch the sunset sitting in the hammocks enjoying your BBQ!



Additional information

A dive medical is required to participate in this program. To ensure there is no medical conditions preventing you from diving, it is advised to complete this before your arrival onto the program. The dive medical must be completed under the Australian SPUMS Standards. Please visit the SPUMS website to download a copy of the full medical.

- Intermediate level of English; understanding and speaking

- Acceptance subject to availability of position

A deposit of 300 € must be paid 7 days after sending your reservation and then the balance must be sent to us no more than 12 weeks before the start of your project.
For stays in less than 12 weeks: the full amount must be paid to confirm the reservation. 


A 50% deposit is required for booking. Balance payment is due 4 weeks prior to departure. In case of cancellation before start date, all fees will be refunded, except the deposit. In case of cancellation after start date, there will be no refund.


Based in Byron Bay, our partner provides high-quality professional programs. PADI certification is internationally recognized and offers access to divemaster positions all over the world.
